The Omaha Nation Community Response Team is a non-profit community based coalition focused on improving the quality of life in the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. It seeks to accomplish this through efforts to empower the community's youth to take action for their future, building the capacity of fostering of a healthy community, building community through the empowerment of its members, and establishment of a comprehensive community-based substance abuse prevention system. The ONCRT attempts to create an environment where community members see themselves as a success, have the opportunities to function as productive and contributing citizens, and provide a system for prevention, intervention, and aftercare related to substance abuse. ONCRT Staff members live and work within the tribal community, and have a passionate desire to generate success within the programs and projects they facilitate and oversee.
